‘Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On’ Anime Cast Expands

Monster Hunter Stories HeaderFunimation made good news recently whent hey announced they picked up the international rights for the new Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On series that’s set to premiere in October 2016. Now, the official site has updated to add a few more actors to the supporting cast side as fans get excited for the extended series that’s coming up. The new additions include:

  • Ayaka Asai as Mil
  • Michiyo Murase as Hyoro
  • Yuuma Uchida as Jinny
  • Itaru Yamamoto as Stone
  • Takanori Ooyama as Nol

The previously announced cast includes:

  • Mutsumi Tamura as Ryuto
  • M.A.O a Naviloo
  • Minami Takahashi as Lilia
  • Ryota Osaka as Cheval
  • Yui Makino as Ayuria

The series is based on the game “Monster Hunter Stories” from Capcom, which is being released in October in Japan, and the popular action RPG game series “Monster Hunter.”

Funimation has secured international rights to home entertainment, video on demand and broadcast distribution of the title as part of its agreement with Fuji TV. The series is set to debut this October on the FunimationNow streaming service and will be available to subscribers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Ireland.

The series, when discussed last December in Japan, was announced for a four-cour run. The show is being produced at David Production with Mitsuru Hongo on board to direct based on the scripts and oversight from Natsuko Takahashi. Takuya Sato is on to design the characters for the adaptation.
