Originally serialized in Comic Shitsurakuten 2016-08, Young Lady Playing With Fire is a thirty-page adventure from Ninoko, making it my first exposure to their work. Ninoko’s style is definitely appealing as there’s a whole lot of detail to be had in the character designs and it avoids one of things I dislike with hentai with the whole interior shots things. With more than enough pages to play with, we get a tale that’s paced really well and allows for some good exploration of the situations at hand in and out of the sexual realm. While you naturally don’t truly know the characters, what Ninoko does is make it all accessible and interesting while playing to the fun of seeing someone getting their comeuppance. That it happens to be both of the characters here just makes it all the more amusing.
The chapter revolves around Ritsuka Toudou, a young woman who is one of the elite in an school of elites that keeps her distance from everyone as she simply doesn’t like people. She’s harboring a secret, however, that would shock most anyone as she was accosted fairly recently on the train several times and turned it around on her attacker by essentially capturing him. By threatening to take him to the police in order to get him to go with her to a hotel, she began weekly sessions where she made him her pet to do what she wanted with. It seems like it’s mostly fairly standard stuff that she ended up putting upon him and she used it as a kind of stress relief to her intense school schedule. It also made her feel good to turn things around on the man that was groping her, especially since by all appearances he’s little more than a boring man. And who would want anything to do with that?
The chapter gives us some decent time early on in showing how she works him, but we also see how this is the moment he turns the tables. First with a blindfold to heighten her sensations and push her further in pleasuring her, and then by revealing he filmed the whole thing and figured out who she was beforehand. It’s at this stage that he uses it to blackmail her into being his willing slave. She knows she has no choice and it moves quickly to his establishing dominance over her. Where it becomes amusing and in some ways fairly realistic is that as he does things to her that she didn’t allow before, she ends up becoming enraptured by how skilled he is. His appearance is bland and boring but he knows everything that turns her on after weeks of being her slave. And the more he does, and boy does he go at her more and more, the more she realizes how her body is responding and in turn her heart. It’s not an unexpected kind of relationship that develops in its early stages here and it works well as we see her realizing just how well conditioned and trained her body had become when she thought she was the one doing the conditioning.
In Summary
Young Lady Playing With Fire is a pretty fun chapter that has the time to work things out without feeling rushed. At the same time, it never feels like it’s moving slow or is poorly paced and that keeps it moving and engaging. This is Ninoko’s second work on Fakku and I can see adding him to my follow list as the character designs are good, the sex itself is nicely creative without going into anything really frightening, and the look of it is pretty solid. It’s definitely a good opening chapter if you’re sitting down to an evening of reading some hentai and looking for something fun and erotic.
