The latest rankings out of Japan for the manga and light novel side has arrived and there are some good numbers to be had in there. The debut of the 20th volume of Attack on Titan has it at just about a million copies moved between the two editions for it, which is certainly good to see. One series to keep an eye on with a potential anime sooner rather than later is that of Dungeon Meshi as the third volume has landed with a strong total of just under 250,000 units. The second week sales for Boruto are also pretty good as it adds another 110,000 units and we see about the same for Prison School.
On the light novel side, is anyone surprised that the 18th volume debut of Sword Art Online topped the chart at a hair under 150,000 units? The 16th volume of A Certain Magical Index does its best with its debut but can just inch over 50,000 units.
