Thursday may be a no new manga day but we continue to get some great comics from the backlist side that are a lot of fun. DC Comics has one new digital-first series with the latest installment of the Wonder Woman ’77 series that continues on the Lynda Carter fun but they also have a slew of backlist books. One of my favorites that kicks off is the 1988 series for Manhunter that only ran for two years as well as the 1985 Red Tornado series. We also get the start of the 2008 Terror Titans series that didn’t run long enough. The release day also has lots of additional issues for other books they kicked off in recent weeks with Elongated Man and Ion among others.
On the Vertigo side, they’ve got Weird Wester Tales debuting alongside new installments of Faultlines, Winter’s Edge and Mobfire, all of which are making their digital debut.
Marvel Comics uses Thursday as their backlist trade day and they have a good mix here with Age of Heroes and some Agents of Atlas landing as well as an Alpha Flight collection and a little more.
