‘Overlord’ Anime Dub Cast Announced

Overlord Episode 11Funimation has the Overlord series coming up in November for release and as that show didn’t get a Broadcast Dub previously we now have the crew and cast list for it. The series is being directed by Kyle Phillips with Josh Grelle as the lead writer on it. The cast includes:

  • Ray Hurd as Gazef
  • Morgan Berry as Nphirea
  • Heather Walker as Hamsuke
  • Clifford Chapin as Peter
  • Ben Phillips as Dyne
  • Chris Wehkamp as Lukrut
  • Lara Woodhull as Ninya

The summer 2015 anime series comes from author Kugane Maruyama with illustrations by so-bin that’s published by Enterbrain. It began in the summer of 2012 and released its tenth volume earlier this year.

It was animated by Madhouse with Naoyuki Itou directing it based on scripts by Yukie Sugawara and character designs by Takahiro Yoshimatsu as they adapt from the original works.

The Japanese cast includes Kenta Miyake as Cocytus, Manami Numakura as Narberal Gamma, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, Shigeru Chiba as Sebas Tian and Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore.

Plot concept: The series follows a salary man who remains online when the service for an MMORPG ends. In doing so, he becomes a powerful skeletal wizard. In his new form, he begins attracting followers and conquering the digital world that remains.
