One series that slipped through the cracks over the years in finding a home video pickup overseas is that of the 2007 anime show Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun. That problem has now been solved as Funimation has acquired the rights to the property. Based on the original work by Daisuke Suzuki, the series was directed by Koji Yoshikawa based on the series composition by Akira Watanabe. Haruou Ogawa served as the character designer and chief animation director with animation production done at AIC Spirits.
The main Japanese cast includes Junji Majima as Shungo Ninomiya, Mai Kadowaki as Mayu Tsukimura, Miyuki Sawashiro as Reika Hōjō, Hiromi Tsunakake as Irori Okushiro, Ken Narita as Mikihiko Tsukimura, Kouki Miyata as Mitsuru Hosaka, Michiko Neya as Ryōko Ninomiya, Saeko Chiba as Shinobu Kirishima and Satomi Akesaka as Hinako Ayakawa.
Plot concept: Shungo is a normal high school student living in a huge house. One day, his sister Ryoko send two siblings, Mayu and Mikihiro Tsukimura, to live with him so as to help Mayu overcome her problem—androphobia, by making Mayu and Shungo share the same room and bed, and to even take baths together. To make things even worse, Reika Hojo, the student-council chair, somehow ends up becoming their maid.
