The summer 2016 anime series The Highschool Life of a Fudanshi, aka Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu now has its home video release plans set. The short-form show is getting a single volume release on both DVD and Blu-ray where the DVD is priced at 5,400 yen while the Blu-ray is priced at 7,344 yen. At this point there are no extras associated with it or first press items.
The show was directed by Toshikatsu Tokoro with character designs by Chinatsu Ishida while EMT2 handled the animation itself. The series comes from Dream Creation. The manga began in May 2015 and has one volume released so far from its serialization in Zero-Sum Online.
The cast includes Wataru Hatano as Ryou Sakaguchi, Kenji Nojima as Toshiaki Nakamura, Aya Suzaki as Rumi Nishihara, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yuujirou Shiratori, Toshiki Masuda as Akira Ueda and Koutarou Nishiyama as Taigo.
Plot concept: Sakaguchi is a boy who seems like a normal person, but he is actually a boy who loves BL (aka fudanshi). He will even eat many bowls of rice just for BL! It’s a daily comedy anime to describe the daily life of Fudanshi High School boy, Sakaguchi.
