While we’ve had a second series for the Kiniro Mosaic property, that doesn’t mean the first season fades into the background. Now that the second season has fully finished its run, Media Factory is looking to get some stragglers on board with the first season through a new box set that they have a new promo out for. The Blu-ray only set is scheduled for a November 25th, 2016 release priced at 21,600 yen, which is certainly a deal compared to the singles that were about 7,000 yen each for six volumes. So far it looks like the set will have what we saw before with a combined 165 page booklet, cast commentary, event digest videos, character commentary, clean opening and closing and commercial/promo material.

The first series, produced by Studio Gokumi with Showgate, was directed by Motoki Tanaka. it was animated at Studio Gokumi with Yuniko Ayana handling the scripting duties. Kazuyuki Ueda worked the character design.

The first season has been licensed and released by Sentai Filmworks. You can read our review here.

Plot concept: The story begins with Oomiya Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly pure Japanese girl who actually did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an airmail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu’s host family in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I’m coming to Japan! The Japanese/British girls’ mixed comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.
