The latest rankings are in when it comes to manga and light novels and thingsa re doing fairly well for one of the generally quieter weeks. This week sees the debut of a new Kingdom volume that takes the top spot at a very strong 409,000 units, reminding us again why it’s been treated well in Japan on the anime side. The rest of the top ten is sub-200,000 for part of it and almost half just under 100,000, so it’s not a strong week. Magi has a solid second week set of sales and One Piece and Fairy Tail continue to boost up their numbers. Giant Killing and Chihayafuru move on pretty well too, making us want more of this adapted into anime form since the manga isn’t exactly easily available.
On the light novel side, the 22nd installment of High School DxD takes the top spot at a strong 26,000 units followde closely by the 10th installment of Saekano arriving at 23,000 units.
