When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace Blu-ray Front CoverWith the upcoming Sentai Filmworks bilingual release of Inou-Battle, aka When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace, coming out on August 30th, 2016 Manga Entertainment UK has announced their pickup of the series as well. The distributor will be bringing the show out on October 31st, 2016 in the region where it’ll get the bilingual treatment as well as being released on both DVD and Blu-ray. No pricing has been set yet.

With ten volumes of light novels to its name so far, Studio Trigger handled the anime production for the series. Created by Nozomi Kota with artwork by 029 back in 2012, the series has been pretty popular. The anime adaptation aired in October 014 and had Masahiko Otsuka serving as the general manager of the series with Masanori Takahashi directing while Satoru Yamaguchi worked on the character designs.

The Japanese cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as July Andou, Haruka Yamazaki as Tomoyo Kanzaki, Saori Hayami as Hatoko Kushikawa, Risa Taneda as Sayumi Takanashi, Nanami Yamashita as Chifuyu Himeki. Joining them are Takuma Terashima as Hajime Kiryu, Kaori Fukuhara as Mirei Kudo, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shizumu Sagami, Kaori Nazuka as Shiharu Satomi and Emiri Kato as Madoka Kuki.

Kyle Jones served as the ADR director for this dub and the cast includes Mateo Mpinduzi-Mott as Ando, Shanae’a Moore as Tomoyo, Melissa Molano as Hatoko, Maggie Flecknoe as Sayumi, Sasha Paysinger as Chifuyu, Melissa Pritchett as Kudo, Benjamin McLaughlin as Hajime, Terri Doty as Kuki, Blake Shepard as Sagami, Regina Chen as Hitomi, Chaney Moore as Litia, Kaytha Coker as Ms. Satomi, Karlii Hoch as Maiya, Katelynn Barr as Fan, Bryson Baugus as Akutagawa, Chris Hutchison as Touhei, Shelby Blocker as Aki, Molly Searcy as Machi, Jack Ivy as Toki, Carolyn Medrano as Hagiura, Kris Saltiel as System and Phil Collins as Muscles.

Plot concept: The origin of the Senko High School Literature Club’s powers might be a little sketchy, and they may spend more time chatting than engaging in superhuman feats. Still, there’s no questioning the incredible abilities of the club’s female members: Tomoyo can control time; Hatoko is a mistress of the elements; Chifuyu can create matter; and Sayumi can return any item to a previous state. With these powers, there are few tasks these girls can’t handle. Meanwhile, Jurai, the club’s only male member, has a dark flame that seems a little pointless in comparison, and only time will tell if it matures into anything more useful. Toss in a Student Council president who’s developed powers of her own and things are about to get seriously weird as the study of literature takes a comic book turn in WHEN SUPERNATURAL BATTLES BECAME COMMONPLACE!
