2 min read

Ange Vierge Visual 7-5The summer 2016 anime series Ange Vierge is moving right along and the folks at Kadokawa are looking to whip up a little extra support and interest in the show. They’ve put out a new promotional video for it ahead of the debut of the third episode this weekend that serves as an introduction to the world that the show inhabits with a look at the locales and settings and a brief look at some of the characters and moments of action to try and tie it all together.

Animated by Silver Link, the show will be directed by Masafumi Tamura as his debut. He’s also working on the character designs for the series while Katsuhiko Takayama is working on the series composition.

The previously revealed cast includes Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Nya Lapucea, Yumi Hara as Almaria, Aki Toyosaki as Elel, Minako Kotobuki as Saya Sōgetsu, Rika Tachibana as Code Omega 77 Stella, Yūka Aisaka as Miumi Hinata, Mai Ishihara as Sofina, Yoshiko Ikuta as Ruby, Rie Takahashi as Code Omega 00 Yufilia, Nozomi Yamamoto as Mayuka Sanagi and Yukari Tamura as Amane Ayashiro.

The property is one that has been popular for a few years, though less through Western audiences, as it’s got a manga already running from Mako Kamao and Sakaki Yoshioka. The opening theme for the series is “Love is MY RAIL” by Konomi Suzuki while the ending theme is “Link with U” by L.I.N.K.s.

Plot concept: The story of the card game follows what happens when “Hairou” portals suddenly open, fusing three different worlds together. As a result, various mysterious “Exceed” powers are awakened in teenaged girls. An academy for these so-called “Progress” girls is built on the isolated Seiran Island in the Pacific.
