The summer 2016 anime series 91 Days is moving right along after a pretty well-received premiere last week. The show has its web promotion handled by Shochiku and they’ve got a look at the second episode of the show that’s set to go live on July 16th, 2016. Crunchyroll is streaming the series to its members worldwide outside of Asia, giving it some strong availability.
The project has Shochiku as the distributor with it airing on MBS as part of their Animeism block. The new series has set Hiro Kaburaki to directed based on the series composition from Taku Kishimoto and character designs from Tomohiro Kishi. Studio Shuka is providing the animation.
The cast includes Takashi Kondou as Avolio, Takuya Eguchi as Nero, Daisuke Ono as Vanno, Soma Saito as Corteo, Kenjirou Tsuda as Fango, Koutarou Nishiyama as Frate, Yuuichi Nakamura as Ronaldo, Takahiro Sakurai as Barbero and Kazuhiro Yamaji as Vincento.
The opening theme song is by TK while the ending theme is “Rain or Shine” by ELISA.
Plot concept: During Prohibition, the law held no power and the mafia ruled the town. The story takes place in Lawless, a town thriving on black market sales of illicitly brewed liquor. Avilio returns to Lawless after some time away, following the murder of his family in a mafia dispute there. One day, Avilio receives a letter from a mysterious sender, prompting him to return to Lawless for revenge. He then infiltrates the Vanetti family, the ones responsible for his family’s murder, and sets about befriending the don’s son, Nero, to set his vengeance in motion. Killing brings more killing, and revenge spawns more revenge. How will the 91-day story of these men guided by a tragic fate end?
