New Super-Man HeaderWhile DC Comics is introducing a number of revamps and course corrections with long time characters in the Rebirth event, they’re also introducing some new things to the field. One of those is today’s release of New Super-Man which focuses on a new hero taking up the Superman mantle in China as he inherits some of those powers. The book comes from writer Gene Luen Yang and artist Viktor Bogdanovic and DC has a new two minute piece with Yang talking about the ideas behind the series and a good look at the artwork from Bogdanovic.

Series concept: An impulsive act of heroism thrusts an arrogant young man into the limelight of Shanghai as China begins to form its own Justice League of powerful heroes. Rising from the ashes of The Final Days of Superman, award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang and on-the-rise art star Victor Bogdanovic introduce readers to Kong Kenan—the New Super-Man! When the world needed a new hero, China made him!
