‘Qualidea Code’ Anime Cast Expands

Qualidea Code Visual 6-15With the anime series Qualidea Code recently revealed to get a July 9th, 2016 debut at midnight on the main networks, a little more material has come out for it. The show has expanded its cast a bit with three new supporting actors coming on board for it. The series comes from creators Sou Sagara, Koushi Tachibana and Wataru Watari under the new group named Speakeasy.

The new additions include:

  • Sora Amamiya as Aoi Yaegaki
  • Hiroaki Hirata as Kyuutoku Asanagi
  • Mamiko Noto as Airi Yuunami

The cast announced so far includes Aoi Yuuki as Maihime Tenkawa, Ayaka Fukuhara as Hotaru Rindou, Soma Saito as Ichiya Suzaki and Yui Ishikawa as Canaria Utara.

The series is directed by Kenichi Kawamura based on the story/script by Speakeasy. Character designs are being done by Hisayuki Tabata with A-1 Pictures handling the animation. The opening theme is being performed by LiSA while ClariS and GARNiDELiA will each provide separate ending theme songs.

Plot concept: The story takes place in a world where people continue their war against the “unknown”—the enemy of humanity. Children who have been evacuated to a cold sleep facility during the invasion by the “unknown” several decades ago wake up from their slumber and learn that their bodies developed some supernatural forces. In order to protect the country from the “unknown” emerging from the Tokyo bay gate, the boys and girls wage battles in the defense the cities of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba.
