2 min read

Orange Anime VisualThe summer 2016 season Orange got its premiere date scheduled recently and now the folks at TOHO are getting their next piece of the marketing out there. The second full promotional videe has arrived, clocking in at two minutes, and giving us a very good taste of the opening and closing sequences. The series is set for a July 3rd, 2016 debut for the show on Tokyo MX, AT-X, BS11 and T V Aichi before making its way to a few more regional broadcasters over the next few days.

The series is directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki based on the screenplay from Yuuko Kakihara. Nobuteru Yuuki is on board to handle the character designs and it’s being animated by TMS Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film.

The announced cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Naho Takamiya, Natsumi Takamori as Azusa Murasaka, Rika Kinugawa as Takako Chino, Seiichirou Yamashita as Kakeru Naruse, Makoto Furukawa as Hiroto Suwa and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Saku Hagita.

The opening theme song is from Yuu Takakashi with “Hikari no Hahen” while the ending is from Kobukuro with “Mirai.”

The manga has been released in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

Plot concept: One day, Takamiya Naho receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Naruse Kakeru.

The Naho from ten years later repeatedly states that she has many regrets, and she wants to fix these by making sure the Naho from the past can make the right decisions—especially regarding Kakeru. What’s more shocking is that she discovers that ten years later, Kakeru will no longer be with them. Future Naho asks her to watch over him closely.
