‘Alderamin on the Sky’ Anime Reveals Premiere Date

Alderamin of the Sky Visual 3-14The official site for the anime adaptation of Alderamin on the Sky property has brought out one of the last main pieces of news that most shows can reveal and that’s the premiere date. The summer 2016 anime series is now scheduled for a July 8th debut on Tokyo MX and then moving out to other regional broadcasters over the enxt couple of days that includes Sun TV, KBS Kyoto and TV Aichi.

The series is being animated by Madhouse with Tetsuo Ichimura on board to direct it based on the series composition from Shogo Yasukawa. Kunio Katsuki is handling the character designs.

The previously announced cast now includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Sorouka Ikuta, Risa Taneda as Igsem Yatorishino, Inori Minase as Shamiyu Kitora Katovanmaninik, Ryousuke Kanemoto as Remion Torway, Junji Majima as Matthew Tetojirichi and Haruka Chisuga as Becker Harouma.

The opening theme will be performed by Kishida Kyoudan & the Akeboshi Rockets. The ending theme song, “nameless,” will be performed by Kano.

The light novels come from Bokuto Uno and it’s been running since 2012 and has its eighth volume coming out earlier this fall in Japan. A manga adaptation began in the summer of 2014 with Taiki Kawakami doing the illustrations/adaptation for it.

Plot concept: At war with the adjacent Kioka Republic, the Katjvarna Empire. In that region, due to certain circumstances, there was a certain youth unwillingly preparing to take the High Grade Military Officer Exam. His name, Ikuta. Disliker of war, lazy, admirer of women. No one predicted that that kind of Ikuta would later on become a soldier referred to even as a great commander… He who survived a world embroiled in war with his superior genius, Ikuta. Illustrating his dynamic, dramatic life, a splendid fantasy military history, the curtain is raised at last!
