Noting that they acquired it before even watching any of it, Animatsu has announced the UK pickup of the Punch Line! anime rights. With the series having finished its home video release last December for the spring 2015 simulcast show, Animatsu could bring it out to the UK anytime this year. Sentai Filmworks has the North American edition arriving in August, which did not receive a dub but did get a bilingual solicitation.

The show was directed by Yutaka Uemura based on scripts by Kotaro Uchikoshi with animation at Mappa. Character designs were done by Shota Iwasaki. It stars Marina Inoue as Yūta Iritatsu, Sora Amamiya as Mikatan Narukino, Haruka Tomatsu as Rabura Chichibu, Minako KotobukiIto Hikiotani and Rie Kugiyama Meika Taihatsu.
The series works with the tagline of “Once he sees underwear, humanity is destroyed!?”, which pretty much says all that a lot of people will need to determine their interest.
Plot concept: If he sees underwear, humanity will be destroyed!? An original anime series from the noitaminA block, PUNCH LINE centers on Yuta Iridatsu, a high school student, with a peculiar habit. When he sees a girl’s panties, he gets so excited he faints! After a certain incident with a ghost cat, his soul gets separated from his body. Using his special powers, Yuta watches the daily lives of the inhabitants of an apartment and sometimes plays tricks on them. Eventually, Yuta decides to unlock the secrets to why Earth will be destroyed and tries to save it!
