Flying Dog Sets ‘Space Patrol Luluco’ Anime Blu-ray Releases

Space Patrol Luluco Episode 1The spring 2016 anime series Space Patrol Luluco has certainly been garnering plenty of attention and now Japanese distributor Flying Dog has finally set their home video release plans. The show is getting a Blu-ray release only but there will be a regular edition priced at 7,800 yen and a limited edition priced at 8,800 yen when it lands on September 14th, 2016.

The limited edition will come with an original sountrack and short drama CD and a special case. Both the limited and regular edition sets will come with the complete series, an 80-minute screening event video, and an audio commentary.

The anime series is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi. Imaishi is overseeing the scripts while Akira Amemiya is serving as the second director while character designs are being handled by Mago and Yusuke Yoshigaki. Yoshigaki and Shuhei Handa serving as the chief animation directors.

The cast includes M.A.O as Luluco, Junya Enoki as ΑΩ Nova, Mayumi Shintani as Midori, Tetsu Inada as Over Justice’s general manager and Mitsuo Iwata as Keiji.

Plot concept: The “intergalactic first love story” show takes place in Ogikubo, which is the name of the specially designated area in space in the Milky Way where Earthlings and aliens can live together. Luluco is a female middle school student who lives with her father, and no matter where she is, Luluco is a common, “super normal” girl. As she is living her normal life, one day the mysterious transfer student ΑΩ Nova abruptly appears before her. That meeting will change Luluco’s fate.
