Jeff Bridges Boards ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’

2 min read

Kingsman - The Golden CircleProgress continues for Matthew Vaughn’s next film with Kingsman: The Golden Circle and the casting for it has been a blast to watch coming together with some of the stars being mixed into it. The latest news has come with Jeff Bridges taking on a role in the film, though it’s unclear just how big the role will be. That news also comes with the tidbit that Colin Firth will be reprising his role as Harry Hart in the film, though how that’s happening is a mystery – at least beyond potential flashback moments.

The original film did strong numbers with a $414 worldwide theatrical take and a good bit added to that with home video and other distribution means.

The film will star Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. It’s directed by Matthew Vaughn and written by him and Jane Goldman.

Original concept: Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.

  1. Kingsman was successful despite having few “big names” in it. I wonder if blowing so much money on big names isn’t a mistake.

BTW, what is a movie where the “good guys” are ostensibly British going to do with so many American actors?
