Crane Game Girls Episode 8“Fine, I guess I’ll save the Earth.”

Now that the girls know the truth, they have to answer the question – do they want to play a game? Well, it is to save the world, after all. The draw of the games are certainly there for the girls after what they’ve learned and been trained in, though being lied to really didn’t help – especially with Mirai as she’s the most upset about all of this. Asuka and Kyouka certainly do what they can to change her mind as we get the inspirational message bit – and Mirai’s obvious selfishness as she just wants to be an idol and not save the world. It’s amusing seeing how they have to use that to try and sway her back to the right side of things, but Mirai totally needs the carrot before she can get the stick.

In Summary:
Crane Game Girls hits the expected resolution to learning the truth of things as most of them are on board but one of them needs a little more convincing. The draw of playing the crane games is strong! The humor works well enough here and Mirai’s emotional outburst has its own silliness that works in a fun way against the other two and the poor CEO that’s trying to tolerate dealing with these kids. The show has its own way of moving and doing its thing and continues on with that here. It’s light and silly and mostly nonsensical, yet it works.
