2 min read

Heroic Age Hulu HeaderOriginally on Hulu back in 2013 before fading away for a while, Funimation has brought back the complete twenty-six episode run of Heroic Age to the service. The show is presented in both its original Japanese language form and its English language dub. The show got a new proper Blu-ray release in Japan last year which has us hopeful that Funimation might revisit their upscale for a new release here.

Originally airing in 2007, the series was an original work animated by Xebec based on the story by Tow Ubukata. It was directed by Takashi Noto and Toshimasa Suzuki and had a spinoff manga series from Kgeko Warabino as well.

Plot concept: Long ago, the advanced Tribe of Gold vanished from the vast universe. In the void left by their departure, the tyrannical Tribe of Silver ascended to rule, forcing mankind – the Iron Tribe – to the brink of extinction. Now humanity wanders the cosmos in search of a savior. Prophesy has foretold of one who will labor for their freedoms, and on a planet of ruin, a champion is found. A feral boy named Age holds the destiny of their species in his hands and the untold power of the Tribe of Hero within.
