Anticipation for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story certainly grew after the first trailer hit, and the fun of telling people that it’s not the sequel to The Force Awakens. While we’re expecting a lot more to come in the months ahead, especially with various events and the like, a really neat piece has surfaced that likely contains spoilers and details many will not want to know. Set for release on January 24th, 2017, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: The Official Visual Story Guide has landed in the Edelweiss catalog (via /Film) and has provided a lot of new pieces and visuals to delight. One piece in particular is some character information with names, including:
- Felicity Jones plays Jyn Erso , a highly skilled soldier and warrior.
- Diego Luna plays Captain Cassian Andor , an officer in the Rebel Alliance.
- Jiang Wen plays Baze , a freelance assassin.
- Riz Ahmed plays Bodhi, a rebel soldier.
- ??? plays Pao , an alien who is described as a “fierce warrior”.
- Donnie Yen plays Chirrut, who is described as “a spiritual warrior.”
- ???? plays Bistan, who is also described as “fierce warrior”.
- Alan Tudyk as Imperial Model K-250 Enforcer Droid.
- Ben Mendelshon as Director Krennic.
The piece also digs into the black armor Stormtroopers and names them as expected with Death Troopers.

Set to debut on December 16th, 2016, the film is directed by Gareth Edwards based on a screenplay by Chris Weitz. The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed.
Plot concept: A band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans.
