The second season of Assassination Classroom had its home video release schedule set in early January and with the first volume arriving back in March. This month has the release of the third volume of the series and now Avex Pictures has let loose with the cover artwork for it, which is certainly bright and eye-catching. This season of the series is getting an eight-volume release once again. With three episodes per disc, the limited edition Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,344 yen each while the regular editions are priced at 6,264 yen each. They’ll begin release on March 25th, 2016.
Animated at studio Lerche with Seiji Kishi directing it, Makoto Uezeu is handling the scripts while Kazuaki Morita will be tackling the character designs.

Plot concept: Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a far more important assignment: kill their teacher before the end of the year! A tentacle-d sensei that moves at Mach 20 is out to conquer the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon. In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a quick study in killing, he or she will save Earth from extinction – and collect a hefty reward. But they’d better take some serious notes while class is in session because their slaughtering sensei has eight deadly tentacles just waiting to wreak havoc on humanity!
