Funimation Reveals August 2016 Anime DVD/BD Release Slate

Heroic Legend of Arslan Season 1 Part 1 HeaderFunimation has a huge slate of titles coming out in August with a good mix of re-releases thrown in to buff it up even more. Not all the information is yet available as we’re waiting on some dates and extras for a few releases, but take a look below for what’s in store and how they’ll be laid out.

Plot concept: Take food fights to the next level in this bite-sized homage to mecha anime of the past. This robot is a master of treats, and along with Daijiro, they make the perfect dessert crafting pair. When evil monster-like robots take over begin attacking the city, Daijiro must man his newfound candy-making mecha to feed the insatiable hunger of these foes and turn them back into harmless humans. There has to be someone behind all these transforming treat-loving terrors, and that someone might be closer to Daijiro than he ever thought possible.
