Scheduled for release next week on May 11th, Kaze France has set a release for the Fist of the North Star trilogy of films and the two OVAs. The distributor previous released the films individually on Blu-ray back in 2011 and did a box set back in 2013. This is the first time the OVAs will be landing there as part of this and they’ve put together one gorgeous looking release that one can imagine fans wanting to own even if they can’t understand a lick of it.
Priced at 50.95 euro, the films will be on separate Blu-ray releases inside while the OVAs will get two separate DVD releases inside. The set has French and Japanese language tracks plus French subtitles and includes an array of clips, interview material, and more.
Plot concept: In the near future, Earth has been devastated by a nuclear hell. In these troubled times, kinetic martial arts have replaced weapons of mass destruction, and the legendary Fist of the North Star style may then be the only hope for humanity’s survival. Ken, the rightful master of Fist of the North Star, is forced to fight old friends gone mad, wicked new enemies, and even comes face to face with his power hungry elder brothers. All this in the hope that he will someday be reunited with his beloved Julia.
