Bandai Visual’s schedule for Comet Lucifer was set awhile ago and now we’re getting ready for the fifth volume to arrive at the end next month. But before that, they’ve now revealed the cover artwork for the volume as well as details on what’s included. The fall 2015 anime series is getting a six-volume release on Blu-ray only that began on January 29th, 2016. All volumes will have two episodes each for the twelve episode run and they’ll be English subtitled. Pricing is listed at 7,800 yen per volume as they’re all listed as limited editions. The original series is directed by Yasuhiyo Kikuchi based off of the script and composition by Yuuichi Nomura, who came up with the overall plan for the show. Atsushi Nakayama is serving as the series director while Yuuichi Takahashi is handling character design and chief animation director duties. The series is being animated at studio 8bit.
The series stars Yuusuke Kobayashi as Sougo Amagi, Ayaka Ohashi as Felia, Rie Takahashi as Kaon Lanchester, Takuma Terashima as Roman Valov, Ayaka Suwa as Otto Motou and Inori Minase as Mo Litica Tzetzes Ura,
Plot concept: Gift, a world covered in glittering blue crystals called gifdium. Sougo Amagi is a boy who lives in the town of Garden Indigo, which has prospered from the mining of these crystals. Sougo, whose hobby is collecting rare crystals, one day becomes involved in a dispute between classmates Kaon, Roman, and Otto. He wanders deep into the ruins of a mine and discovers an underground lake. There, Sougo meets a mysterious girl with blue hair and red eyes. Who is this girl, and what will their meeting bring? The door to an adventure opens with their newly formed bond.
