The latest rankings for what’s selling in Japan for manga and anime has arrived for the week ending April 17th. No surprise is that second week sales for the latest Attack on Titan volume has taken the top spot sa it adds another 414,000 units, bringing it to 1.13 million so far. It’s not One Piece level to be sure as the 81st volume added another 265,000 units to bring it to 2.11 million so far. This week has a number of new volumes arriving that are doing well with Seven Deadly Sins and Magi hovering around the same number while Sinbad no Bouken lands a solid 128,000 units moved. It’s also worth noting that My Hero Academia is serving its goal of moving the manga as all the volumes are now in the top fifty and racking up some solid additional sales and interest.
On the light novel side, the 17th volume of Sword Art Online takes the top spot as it more than doubles its sales from the first week with 97,000 units moved, bringing it to 172,000.
