With some of the cast members at the MTV Movie Awards last night, Warner Bros. has dropped the second trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Coming off of the box office numbers of Batman V Superman but also the criticism of darkness, it’s amusing to see how this unfolds because the first trailer had its own style of humor and those wanting more lightness from this completely missed what was in it, it seems. This trailer plays to that same lightness, especially with the Ballroom Blitz song, and it definitely looks like it’s going to go all out and have a lot of weirdness, silliness, and a hell of a lot of really great action pieces.
Our anticipation is at 11.
Announced for an August 5th, 2016 release, Suicide Squad is being helmed by Fury director David Ayer. The film is set to star Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, someone as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Plot concept: A group of supervillains are brought together to tackle high-risk black ops missions for the government.
