While we learned way back in October that a third season of Yowamushi Pedal is on the way, it’s been very quiet since then in regards to a premiere or any other information. While nothing of significance has arrived just yet, we did get a new key visual of two of the prime teams for it through the official Twitter feed. And a new look at our favorite cast members is always a welcome thing.
Based on the manga by Wataru Watanabe, it was directed by Osamu Nabeshima based on scripts by Reiko Yoshida with character designs by Takahiko Yoshida and animated at TMS Entertainment.

Plot concept: Sakamichi Onoda is a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. Since the fourth grade, he had been riding his commuter bicycle 90-kilometers to and from Tokyo’s otaku hot spot, Akihabara after school. Upon entering high school, he tried to join the anime research club, after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club. All kinds of trials and rigorous training awaited Onoda, but with the support of his many friends and upperclassmen, the talented road racer inside him began to awaken!
