With it being planned for an April 7th, 2016 debut, the official site has now released a new promotional video for the Kuromukuro anime series. The promo is definitely welcome as it also included English subtitles while showing off the opening and closing songs. MICHI is handling the ending theme song Realistic while GLAY is performing the opening theme song Desutopia.
The show is being directed by Tensai Okamura with Ryou Higaki composing the overall series design while Yuriko Ishii is working on the character designs. She worked on the designs for A Lull in the Sea as well.
The main cast for the series has been revealed to include Yohei Azakami as Kennosuke Tokisada, M.A.O. as Yukina Shirahane, Reina Ueda as Sophie Noelle, Asami Seto as Mika Ogino, Kaito Ishikawa as Ryoto Akagai, Yusuke Kobayashi as Jundai Kayahara, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Jose Carlos Takasuka, Manami Sugihira as Marina Unami, Momo Asakura as Koharu Shirahane, Kanako toujo as Hiromi Shirahane, Ryohei Kimura as Tom Borden, Hikaru Ueda as Liu Shen Mi and Taiten Kusunoki as Sebastian. The supporting cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi as Graham, Lynn as Rita Juri Kimura as Beth, Kouichi Makishima as Minoru Aramata, Hiromichi Tezuka as Jirou, Rina Satou as Paula, Hidenobu Kiuchi as Takekuma-sensei and Tetsuo Gotou as Oshou Yakushi.
The company has worked on a number of projects over the years and already has Haruchika lined up for 2016. They recently finished the broadcast of Charlotte and had the second half of Shirobako out earlier this year.
Plot concept: During the construction of the Kurobe Dam, an ancient artifact was discovered, and so the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute was established. Intellectuals from all over the world gathered to study the object, and the children of those researchers attend Mt. Tate International Senior High School, including the institute head’s daughter, Yukina Shirahane. In the summer of 2016, a lone samurai once again awakens.
