With the sequel series Terra Formars Revenge coming up on April 1st, 2016, Warner Bros. Japan has now let loose with its newly cut two-minute promotional video that digs deep into the power of the show and the fun of it. It also gives us a solid sample of the new theme song Kōryōtaru Shinsekai from Sekima II, which gives it its own power.
The series will be animated at LIDEN Films again with TYO Animations, but it’s being directed by Michio Fukuda. Series composition is also changing as it’s now being handled by Naruhisa Arakawa. Character designs are now being done by Cagetzu Aizawa and Atsushi Ikariya which is also a change.
In North America, Viz Media is serving as the master licensor for the property itself and releasing the manga, but nothing has been said by anyone about the anime itself. With Warner Bros. Japan heavily involved in the production, speculation is that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment may end up releasing it.

The first season was produced at LIDEN FILMS with Hiroshi Hamasaki directing based on scripts by Shogo Ysukawa. Character designs were done by Masanori Shino while Satoshi Kimura did the secondary character design work.
Plot concept: TERRAFORMARS makes its anime debut as a startling work of science fiction and adventure. With Earth becoming increasingly overpopulated, an ambitious plan has been put into place to terraform Mars using mold and cockroaches. Nearly 500 years after the plan, a mission to Mars, Annex 1, is under way to accomplish crucial research into the Virus currently plaguing mankind with the crew members who’ve been injected with various DNA of life on Earth in order to combat the Terraformars, giant humanoid cockroaches.
