The short-form winter 2016 anime series She and Her Cat as part of the Ultra Super Anime Time block announced its home video release earlier this month and has now updated with a bit more information. Similar to other properties from this production team, it’s been confirmed that the series will have English subtitles available on it as well as Chinese and Japanese.
The distributor is bringing the series out on both DVD and Blu-ray priced at 3,500 and 5,500 yen respectively on May 18th, 2016. It’s being done in a neat way though where it’s being put together as a single OVA instead of four episodes, so it’ll all flow together to tell one tale. It’ll have an opening, the episodes themselves, and then the ending.
Extras for the release include the promotional video, storyboard gallery and a twenty-page booklet.
The short series is being directed by Kazuya Sakamoto at LIDEN FILMS working off of scripts by Naruki Nagakawa. Character designs are being handled by Senbon Umishima, who is also serving as the chief animation director.
Plot concept: A cat reminisces about his life with and feelings for his owner, a single woman.
