Kiss him Not Me Volume 1 HeaderThe anime adaptation of the manga series Kiss Him, Not Me from Junko is making most of the noise these days but the manga is getting some solid attention as well. With Kodansha Comics releasing it in North America, Kaze Deutschland is bringing it out in Germany with the first volume scheduled to land on April 7th, 2016. Ahead of that they’ve released a pretty good 90-second promo for it that showcases the material rather well, making it accessible to viewers worldwide so they can grab it in their respective region.

The anime adaptation doesn’t have a season set at this point but it was revealed that Hiroshi Ishiodori will be directing based on series composition from Michiko Yokote. Kazuhiko Tamura is on board as the character designer while Mina Oosawa will be serving as the chief animation director. Brains Base will be handling the animation for it.

The manga is being published in North America by Kodansha Comics. Check out our review of the first volume here.

Plot concept: Kae is a normal, everyday high school girl with a secret – she’s a fujoshi, a fan of yaoi manga, who has fantasies about the boys in her school making out with each other. When the death of her favorite character causes stress-induced rapid weight loss, she becomes the object of those same boys’ affections. What can she do when she’d rather they kissed each other instead of her?
