Juror 13 CoverThe TOKYOPOP original graphic novel Juror 13 came out quite some time ago and now it looks like an attempt to bring it to the world of film is in the works. Screenwriter Mike Ferris of the third and fourth Terminator films has been brought on board to adapt the original material into screenplay form. At the moment it just has Artention Films from China set as a producer along with Stu Levy and there are plans for it to get a release in China in 2017 or 2018 along with larger worldwide plans.

The original graphic novel came from writer DJ Milky, which is the pen -name for Stu Levy, with Makoto Nakatsuka handling the artwork.

Original concept: With the arrival of a mysterious jury summons, a man’s life is thrust into a dizzying downward spiral: his fiancee leaves him, he has problems at work, and his best friend is suddenly nowhere to be found. As the jury trial approaches, who can he trust? Why does he suddenly feel that he has to defend his every move? And who exactly is Juror 13? Can he trust what he sees?
