The spring series Onigiri has been updating regularly as we get closer to its spring season premiere and one of the more interesting pushes is that we’ve heard a bit from the two members of STARMARIE that were announced to join the show recently.
“I’ve received the role of Uzume. I am so honored to be working among such talented actors! Uzume is a sexy character, but I’ll do my best to make her voice my own,” said Monya Nakane
“This is my very first voice acting experience. Kijimuna is not a human, so that has its challenges, but I was filled with such gratitude after our frist recording session. It still feels like I’m dreaming,” said Nozomi Kishita.
The cast announcements so far include Aina Suzuki as Lady Shizuka, Suzuko Mimori as Ibaraki Douji and Sakura, Izumi Kitta as Kaguya, Natsuko Hara as Amaterasu, Yuki Nakashima as Veronica, and Katsuyoshi Konishi as the narrator. STARMARIE’s Monya Nakane will voice Uzume, and Nozomi Kishita will voice Kijimuna.
The show has also set a premiere date of April 7th, 2016 at 1 am on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji.
STARMARIE will be performing the opening theme song from the series and the CD release is set for an April 20th, 2016 release.
The series is directed by Takashi Yamamoto based on the series composition from Takamitsu Kouno. Takashi Aoshima and Atsushi Oka are also working on the scripts while Yukiko Ibe is serving as both character designer and the chief animation director.
Game concept: It is set in a fantasy land resembling ancient Japan where humans coexist with demons (oni) and spiritual monsters (youkai). Players battle against god eaters (kamigui) who rampage through the land.
