‘Flying Witch’ Anime Gets Beautiful New Cast Visual

Flying Witch Visual 2The upcoming anime adaptation of the manga series Flying Witch from Chihiro Ishizuka has been doing a lot of heavy lifting in the marketing department lately with a new promo and the premiere date revealed in the last couple of weeks. The latest addition is a site refresh that has added a fantastic new key visual that you can see below. If you want it wallpaper sized, head over here. The series is scheduled to premiere on April 9th, 2016. With JC Staff producing it, Katsushi Sakurabi has been set to direct it while Deko Akao is handling the scripts. Character designs are being done by Masato Yasuno.

The cast includes:

  • Eri Suzuki as Chinatsu Kuramoto
  • Shinsuke Sugawara as Kei Kuramoto
  • Kana Aoi as Akane Kowata
  • Shiori Mikami as Nao Ishiwatari

  • Yuka Iguchi as Anzu Shiina
  • Ai Kayano as Chito
  • Ayane Sakura as Kenny
  • Ari Ozawa as Al

The manga began back in 2012 in Bessatus Shonen Magazine and has released three volumes so far with a fourth to ship in April in Japan. The show has enlisted the voice actors Shinoda and Suzuki to perform the ending theme song for it sa well.

Plot concept: The series follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan.
