Sentai Filmworks has a complete collection coming up in a couple of months with the Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy due out on May 3rd, 2016. While we don’t have a Blu-ray edition in our future, Sentai’s bringing this out as part of their Selects line and that means a low price for a lot of content and a clean reversible cover for those that dislike the branding that’s done with it. Sentai’s now released the finalized cover artwork look and packaging design for this release, including the silkscreening for the discs. This series charmed the hell out of us back when Geneon first brought it out years ago and we were glad to revisit it when Sentai first released it in half-season sets back in 2009. This bilingual edition is DVD only unfortunately but it is well priced at $39.98 for the twenty-six episode run of adorableness filled with great designs and locations. Check out the tentative artwork below until we get the finalized one and what the reverse side will look like.

Plot concept: When young Saga offers a waffle to a small hungry creature in a fluffy outfit, she has no idea that the “creature” is Sugar, an apprentice fairy sent to Earth to find a “twinkle” as part of her test to become a full-fledged season fairy! Unfortunately, neither Sugar nor her two companion fairies, Salt and Pepper, have any idea what a “twinkle” is, but that doesn’t stop them from moving in with the unusual girl who can somehow see them! And since none of Saga’s friends can see fairies, they all think that Saga is acting really strange. As more and more season fairies keep arriving, Saga’s bemusement turns into desperation. Can she find out what a twinkle is and help the fairies find one before she’s drowning in fairy dust?
