Divine Gate VisualThe folks at Marvelous continue to do some solid promotion for their winter 2016 anime series Divine Gate, which has proven fairly controversial for a lot of fans with regards to just how accessible it is. The latest to arrive from the company is a new eleven-minute digest version of the show so far that digs into the various characters. With a pretty regular beat of music to it in order to keep you engaged, it runs through a ton of material while getting narrated by one of the characters as well. Though it’s not subtitled, there are plenty of hooks here that might interest new viewers.

The cast includes Tetsuya Kakihara as Akane, Soma Saito as Aoto, Kanae Itou as Midori, Ayana Taketatsu as Hikari, Sora Amamiya as Yukari, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Ginji, Yuuichi Nakamura as Arthur, Kouji Yusa as Loki, Akira Ishida as Oz, Kousuke Toriumi as Lancelot, Ami Koshimizu as Ifrit, Mai Fuchigami as Undine, Kana Asumi as Sylph, Yuri Yoshida as Metabon, KENN as Ywain, Azusa Tadokoro as Bedivere, Ayumu Murase as Breunor, Natsue Sasamoto as Tristan, Binbin Takaoka as Gareth, Arisa Kiyoto as Kay, Chihiro Ikki as Lamorak, Yuusuke Shirai as Percival, Rie Suegara as Mordred, Kenji Nomura as Palomides, Yuuki Kuwahara as Gawain, Megumi Ogata as the narrator, Yukaana as system operator and Rie Kugimiya as Shonen K.

Plot concept: When the Divine Gate opened, the living world, the heavens, and the underworld became connected, ushering an era of chaos where desires and conflict intersect. To restore order, the World Council is formed. As peace is restored, the Divine Gate becomes an urban legend. In that world, boys and girls deemed fit by the World Council are gathered. They are ones who aim to reach the gate for their personal objectives. Those who reach the gate can remake the world. What lies beyond the gate? When they reach the door, will the world change? Will it be the past that changes, or will it be the future?
