Fox Schedules & Moves Multiple Films With ‘Alien: Covenant,’ ‘Gambit’ & More

2 min read

DeadpoolThe movements of movie studios in scheduling their films aren’t designed to mess with all the fun graphics fans come up with to display upcoming superhero film schedules, but I have to wonder if they do enjoy doing that. 20th Century Fox has announced a number of changes for upcoming films that are certainly interesting moves to see how it all plays out.

First, they’ve moved Alien: Covenant up to a summer date next year from October 6th to August 4th, 2017.

They’ve also now formally scheduled the Predator reboot film with a March 2nd, 2018 release date.

The novel adaptation of the delightful Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has now been scheduled for September 30th, 2016, moving up from a Christmas 2016 release date. Check out our review of the book here.

On the superhero side…

Fox has now set release dates Untitled Fox/Marvel Films on October 6th, 2017 and January 12, 2018. We’re placing our best on Deadpool‘s sequel for the fall and X-Force for January.

Fox has also now removed the release date for the Gambit film, which was originally et for October 7th, 2016 but obviously wasn’t moving forward with all the problems it was having.
