The latest installment of good! Afternoon magazine in Japan has revealed that one of the properties serialized in there is on track for an anime adaptation with Amaama to Inazuma, aka Sweetness and Lightning. The early look at the cover gives us little information beyond that with more to be revealed when the issue lands on March 7th. What we do know is that the adaptation is planned for a July 2016 debut.
Te manga from Gido Amagakure began back in 2013 and will release its sixth volume in March. Kodansha Comics has been releasing the series in North America digitally through their various services.
Plot concept: Having lost his wife, math teacher Kouhei Inuzuka is doing his best to raise his young daughter Tsumugi as a single father. He’s pretty bad at cooking and doesn’t have a huge appetite to begin with, but chance brings his little family and one of his students, Kotori Iida, together for homemade adventures. With those three cooks in the kitchen, it’s no wonder this dinner table drama is so delicious.
