‘Magi: Adventure of Sinbad’ Premiere Date Scheduled As OP/ED Songs Revealed

Magi Sinbad no Boken Visual 1-18The TV series adaptation of the Magi: Adventure of Sinbad was announced last September with plans for it to air this year and we recently learned that the show will run in five arcs that mirror the arcs of the manga. While we previously knew that it was scheduled for the spring season, the official site has now updated to reveal that it will premiere on April 15th on the main networks with MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS in the mix for it.

Additionally, it was also revealed that PENGUIN RESEARCH is on board for the opening song called Spotlight while the ending song will be performed by Fujifabric with the song Polaris.

The TV series will be utilizing what we’ve seen with the manga bundled anime episodes where it’ll be directed by Yoshikazu Miyao based on scripts by Taku Kishimoto. It’s being animated at Lay-duce with Souichirou Sako handling the character designs.

The cast includes Daisuke Ono as Sinbad, Akira Ishida as Yunan, Tomokazu Sugita as Drakon, Ai Kayano as Serendine, Katsuyki Konishi as Badr, Yoko Hikasa as Esra, Keiji Fujiawara as Hinahoho, Takahiro Sakurai as Jafar, Ayumi Fujimura as Pipirika, Takehito Koyasu as Barbarossa and Hiroki Touchi as Baal.

Plot concept: The series takes place thirty years before the main Magi series and focuses on the young Sinbad as he goes on his journey’s that leads to him becoming king.
