Things are moving forward with the soon to be in production Alien: Covenant film and a little bit of new casting information has arrived. Ridley Scott tends to have interesting actors that end up in his projects and one of the appealing aspects is some of the somewhat unknowns in a mainstream sense get a good boost from it. The latest addition to the project is Demian Bichir whose role is not yet known. Bichir was seen in The Hateful Eight recently and is currently filming Low Riders. Bichir is originally from Mexico and has been acting since thirteen with his first role back in 1977.
The film us scheduled for release on October 6th, 2017. Directed by Ridley Scott, it stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston and Demian Bichir.
Plot concept: Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
