The Star Wars Rebels series has a new clip out that’s a bit quiet with what it wants to do, but in touching on the past it has some nice little reveals that could lead to some fun stories down the line, if not here then in the comics. With the Homecoming episode focused on material involving Hera’s father, Cham Syndulla. we get some good nods to the past for their world and how its fate changed with that of the Republic. The series airs Wednesday’s at 9pm on Disney XD.
The series stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall. The second season got underway on October 14th, 2015.
Plot concept: Set five years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and fourteen years after the fall of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Council in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the series follows a motley group of rebels (all of whom have been affected by the Galactic Empire in one form or another) that band together aboard a freighter starship called the Ghost. The series will also focus on the origins of some of the groups that will form the Rebel Alliance.
