2 min read

Kiznaiver Visual 2-10The upcoming Kiznaiver anime series is making out a bit decently this weekend as the debut of the new TV spot for it, clocking in at thirty seconds, has gotten an English subtitled version from Crunchyroll. The show itself got a fair bit of attention last fall for getting a simulcast pickup early through Crunchyroll and this kind of promotional synergy is definitely a big plus. The series site updated recently to reveal that the show is now scheduled for the spring 2016 anime season.

The Studio Trigger series previously revealed that Yuki Kaji as Katsuhira Agata, Hibiku Yamamura as Noriko Sonozaki, Yuka Terasaki as Chidori Takashiro, Tomoaki Maeno as Hajime Tenga, Misaki Kuno as Nico Niyama, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsuguhito Yuta, Rina Satou as Honoka Maki and Kōtarō Nishiyama as Yoshiharu Hisomu.

The series is set to be directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi based on scripts and series composition from Mari Okada. The original character designs come from Shirow Miwa with Mai Yoneyama handling the adaptations.

Plot concept: The anime’s setting is a fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City. One day, Noriko Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira Agata, “You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver.” The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers. Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city’s population is decreasing. The story is set in this town where Katsuhira and the others live.
