Marvel Showcases New ‘Black Widow’ Ongoing With Stunning Variants

2 min read

Young Black WidowMarvel had a good run with Black Widow prior to the Secret Wars series, even if I had a hard time connecting with it personally, but they’re changing things up a bit with the new series that kicks off on March 2nd, 2016. The new book comes from Eisner Award winning Daredevil creative team of writer Mark Waid and artist Chris Samnee along with colorist Matt Wilson and letterer Joe Caramagna. Check out the finalized cover, some sweet and excellent variants, and a look at a few unlettered pages.

Plot concept: She has spent years gathering secrets. Knowledge and intel on friends and enemies alike. But when some of those dark secrets mysteriously begin to go public, no one is safe! Now, Natasha has become the one thing she never thought she’d be – public enemy number one! Betrayed by her former accomplices, with friend and foe alike nipping at her heels, all bets are off. With a lifetime of training and ingenuity at her disposal, she’s out for answers, and she’s going to get them any way she can. As long as S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn’t get her first!
