The very quiet and under the radar adaptation of the Term Life comic book series from the Image Comics publisher has now dropped its first trailer ahead of the March 1st, 2016 debut. The original work came out back in 2011 from AJ Lieberman and artist Nick Thornborrow and was originally picked up by Universal but then nixed due to management changes before it ended up being revived elsewhere.
Directed by Peter Billingsley based on the screenplay from AJ Lieberman, the film stars Vince Vaughn, Hailee Steinfeld, Taraji P. Henson, Bill Paxton, Jon Favreau and Terrence Howard.
Original concept: If Nick Barrow can stay alive for 21 days he’ll die happy! Everyone Nick knows wants him dead; Mob bosses, contract killers, and dirty cops. Performing the last act of a desperate man, Nick takes out a million dollar insurance policy on himself, payable to his estranged daughter. The problem? The policy doesn’t take effect for 21 days… and Nick knows they’ll be lucky to be alive for twenty-one hours!
