Toei Animation began adding one of their 2014 anime series to Hulu in early December 2015 with the spring 2014 anime series Majin Bone. The series ran for 52 episodes and was initially simulcast by Crunchyroll. After bringing out the first ten episodes on the service in their original Japanese language with English subtitles, they’ve been working weekly to add more. With one more batch to go, the series is currently up to forty out of the fifty-two episodes, making for some serious binging material to work through if you’re looking for something under the radar to check out.

Based on the digital card game, the series was directed by Konosuke Uda and featured character designs by Yusuke Murata in their original form.

Plot concept: Shougo Ryujin is an ordinary high school student who notices strange occurrences all over the Earth. One afternoon he goes to his friend Saho’s house to find out what the mysterious sound he’s been hearing is. The ground collapses and he gets attacked by one of the unknown figures, but then a card transforms him into a fighter known as Dragon Bone.
