The Satoshi Kon film Perfect Blue recently was announced with new German and Spanish region releases and now it’s expanding again – though still not in North America. The films has been released previously on DVD in Australia through Siren Visual and now they briefly listed thta it would be coming out on Blu-ray as well through their Facebook page. No details are available, but it continues to give us hope that we might see a North American release if these acquisitions and expansions continue.

Distributors Alive and Selecta recently revealed that they’re bringing out the film this year in their respective territories with a July 1st German release and a February 10th Spanish release.

The title was previously released by Manga Entertainment in the UK and in North America but it’s been out of print for a few years and no Blu-ray release has been offered outside of Asia until Anime Limited brought it out in the UK back in 2013.

Plot Concept: In the world of make believe… The price of fame… May not be worth the cost of identity…
