Another title in the agreement between Nozomi Entertainment and Crunchyroll has arrived for streaming on the service with the eleven episode series Sweet Blue Flowers now available. Originally airing in the summer 2009 season, Nozomi brought it out on DVD back in 2013 and is now adding some expanded streaming options for folks through Crunchyroll. The series is available in full to members in the US and Canada, which is where Nozomi has the rights to distribute it.
Based on the manga series by Takako Shimura, which began back in 2004 and has eight volumes to date, Sweet Blue Flowers is an eleven episode series that definitely plays the interesting field of high school romance between several girls in two different schools. Shimura’s worked on some interesting titles over the years with the Wandering Son anime adaptation really making an impression.
