2 min read

Girls Beyond the Wasteland Hulu HeaderSentai Filmworks picked up the winter 2016 anime series Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu, which they’ll be localizing as Girls Beyond the Wasteland, earlier this week. They’re now capitalizing on it by bringing it out for simulcast quickly through various services, including Hulu which now has the first episode up and available for free viewing. Hulu will add new subtitled episodes within one day from their original Japanese air date and those that subscribe to Hulu can watch this show in HD on your TV, mobile and computer.

The series was directed by Takuyo Sato based on the series composition from Yuniko Ayana and character designs by Takayuki Noguchi. Project No.9 handled the animation for the adaptation.

The cast includes Seiichirou Yamashita as Buntarou Houjou, Haruka Chisuga as Sayuki Kuroda, Kana Hanazawa as Yuuka Kobayakawa, Satomi Sato as Uguisu Yuuki, Satomi Akesaka as Teruha Andou and Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Atomu Kai.

Plot Concept: Haunted by career assessments and his lack of a real plan for the future, Buntarou’s days are occupied by his part time job and lazing around with his friends. But when his aloof classmate Saiyuki asks him out, he has no clue he’s about to get the most random career counseling session ever. Completely certain that creating a lucrative bishoujo game would set Buntarou on the path to success, Saiyuki challenges him to go beyond this wasteland of a world.
